NOTICE TO BAND MEMBERS
This will advise that Dokis First Nation will NO LONGER PROCESS (Paper Laminate) Indian Status Cards/Applications BY MAIL. Individual(s) must apply IN PERSON ONLY, ON-RESERVE.
Currently, a limited amount of paper laminate cards are provided by Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC).
However, as per directive issued by AANDC (in a phased approach across Canada), you are ENCOURAGED TO APPLY for the "new" Secure Certificate of Indian Status (SCIS) Card by mail or by visiting an Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada Office (AANDC) located in Ontario:
